Equus 3150 Great unit to isolate problems before you go to the shop

Really nice unit that has paid for itself in 3 uses. I was able to confirm/determine the trouble on a 2003 Ford Taurus, a 1998 Ford Ranger and a 2001 Honda Civic. The unit is easy to use with a very comprehensive manual and updates are easy. If you don't do your own work or you can't because you need special tools or whatever, this unit will put you right on the trouble so you can tell the Service Writer at the dealer exactly what is wrong rather than saying, "it makes a funny noise..." Be advised, this unit will reads codes in a way that displays the most serious code first. Don't go out and buy a bunch of parts based on 1 trouble code. Do your homework and make sure there are no other codes that would cause a fault in another area. You need more than just a casual knowledge of fault isolation and trouble shooting when using this unit or you can be led astray. It is a good reliable unit when used properly on the vehicle it supports. Shipping was super fast and the price was great. Tech support actually exist...I called them about a software update and got good support from a tech in the USA. 5 stars all around.
